Circa 1880's an antique locket in the Aesthetic style with gorgeous and abundant engraving to each side. A central shield surrounded by leafesque scrollery, and to the other a central design of Roses symbolising LOVE. Although not of precious metals, this would have once been a treasured place to keep memories close and tells of the fact that people in all walks of life were being able to afford jewels at this time. We have paired it with a period decorative slinky link chain which measures 16 inches, and this could be worn alone too. 

The locket measures 4cm by 3.5cm.
