A gorgeous sugarloaf turquoise is the star of this highly detailed ring. The top of the ring is a scalloped sterling silver plaque. The blue-green gem is center set in a square, hand-cut bezel framed in twisted silver wire. The plaque is decorated with an overlay pattern in which a carved layer of polished silver is applied to a layer of oxidized silver, creating a shadow box effect of contrasting textures. Silver beads accent the overlay. The decorative top sits above split shoulders and a half-round band. The back of the ring is signed "ES." Circa 1960.
